Remember....

  1. A fraction means a part of a group or of a region.

      is a fraction. We read it as "five-twelfths".

  3. Here "12" stand for the number of equal parts into which the whole has been divided.
  4. And "5" stand for the number of equal parts which have been taken out.
  5. Here 5 is called the numerator and 12 is called the denominator.

6. Arya, Abhimanyu, and Vivek shared lunch. Arya has brought two sandwiches, one made of vegetable and one of jam. The other two boys forgot to bring their lunch. Arya agreed to share his sandwiches so that each person will have an equal share of each sandwich. 
    (a) How can Arya divide his sandwiches so that each person has an equal share? 
    (b) What part of a sandwich will each boy receive? 
     Answer: (a) Arya will divide each sandwich into three equal parts, and give one part of each sandwich to each one of them
     
     (b) When we divide each of 2 sandwiches into 3 equal parts. We have 6 pieces in total. Every one of them will get 2 pieces each out of 6 pieces.

  1. question no.8 answer is wrong because 109 is a prime number so pls rectify the answer of it. Thank you

  2. 109 is a prime number however 111 is not a prime number. So answer is correct, explanation is incorrect.
